Shunbo Lei earned his B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2013. He then received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 2017, from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, where he was also a Postdoctoral Fellow after graduation. He was a Visiting Scholar at Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, IL, from 2015 to 2016. He is now a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan, working with Prof. Johanna Mathieu and Prof. Ian Hiskens. His research interests include power system operation, resilience, demand response, convex optimization, and machine learning.
